Cat and the Queen is a music making theatre artist.

CATQ is Cat Montgomery and her beloved red hot keyed companion, the Queen

Cat's style is raw, energetic. The genre in which she creates and performs is hard to pinpoint. A never ending battle...

But if you must know, when it comes down to it, when the chips have fallen, when people have been pushed and people have been shoved, CATQ is associated often/sometimes with the likes of musical artist people Tom Lehrer, Tori Amos, B52s, Kurt Weil, Bette Midler, Kate Bush and Tom Waits. What do you think?

Cat puts on a highly charged, thrilling and theatrical show. It is fun, funnn, poignant, dark and light. She loves the light. And the dark. (AND THE LIGHT!)

Cat lives for spontaneity and surprise when it comes to her live shows. When it comes to her approach to life she generally feels the same way...generally, because often she feels like a  timid, tiny, introverted snail with nervous tick and slight lisp. Just a human over here making arts and crafts etceteras.

Give her a dingle. She'd love to hear from you. Maybe she'll be performing/drinking coffee in a living room/hot bar/dirty basement/park bench/casino/STADIUM NEAR YOU!!!!  WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!!!!!!! And, I mean, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR ????????? !

sincerely,

Cat

I certainly agree that putting everything into little genres is counterproductive. You’re not going to get too many surprises if you only focus on the stuff that fits inside the box that you know.
